Highest quality standards in packaging industry

All areas of Thüringer Fiber-Trommel GmbH are certified by TÜV Hessen according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. This quality management standard is the most important and widely used standard in quality management nationally and internationally.

This means for us:

• continue to develop our products and processes so that they meet quality requirements at all times;
• to constantly optimize our quality management system in a process-oriented manner in order to continue to meet the high quality standards that we set for ourselves in the future;
• to constantly align our company with the wishes of our customers, as the satisfaction of our customers is our greatest affirmation.

Specifically, we attach great importance to the transparency of our processes so that the traceability of our materials and the documentation of production steps is always guaranteed. All employees are provided with guidelines to support and motivate them in their efforts to work in a quality-conscious manner.

Fibre drums are dangerous goods packaging. To ensure that our customers can always store and transport their goods safely in our fibre drums, our “Quality assurance program for the manufacture of packaging for the transport of dangerous goods” (BAM-GGR 001 for short) is monitored annually.
This approval fulfills the requirements of the following international regulations:

• Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR)
• Regulations for the international carriage of dangerous goods by rail (RID)
• International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code)
• ICAO Technical Instructions, also laid down in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations
• RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS of the UNITED NATIONS

Numerous versions of our all-fibre and fibre drums have this UN approval, so there are no additional costs for our customers. A new application is possible for special requests.

We are pleased to announce that our company has been FSC® Chain of Custody certified since September 27, 2024.

FSC® Chain of Custody certification means that our forest-based supply chain is unbroken for our FSC-certified products and supports responsible forestry. For our FSC-certified products, the forest-based material we use comes from well-managed FSC-certified forests, and/or other reclaimed or controlled sources. This is verified through independent, third-party evaluations.

Through our FSC certification, we are able to offer FSC-certified products and support transparency and accountability in forest supply chains. By choosing FSC-certified products, our customers can support responsible forestry and contribute to greater transparency and accountability in the supply chain.
